Steve Smith: The Who To Open Olympics

In truth, The Who didn't actually form until 1964, but Townshend and The Who's late bassist John Entwhistle did form a Dixieland jazz band called The Confederates in 1962. Singer Roger Daltrey, then the guitarist for a band he formed in 1959 called The Detours, recruited the two Confederates for his group sometime late in 1962 or early 1963. In that band, Townshend played banjo while Entwhistle played an unusual instrument for Dixieland, the French horn. The appearance is being touted as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the band that will include an extensive U. S. tour that will see the group perform Townshend's epic 1973 rock opera, "Quadrophenia," in its entirety. The Who, who were reported to have been forced into retirement from live shows earlier this year because of guitarist Pete Townshend's severe case of tinnitus, will perform at the closing ceremonies at the 2012 London Olympics, when the torch it...

Dave Hill Guitar Lesson 2 – Melodic 3-Note Funk Rhythm | Guitars Guru

Chet Atkins SST, Tom Anderson Crowdster, Stonetree NRS which is a better thin body guitar?

From looking at all the thin body guitars being offered I feel the Stonetree NRS is the top model. It is extremely light weight, it actually is an acoustic that can be heard loudly across the room unplugged and it doesn't have annoying feed back on stage.

          The Stonetree NRS.

          How about a nice Poll?

          Which is better?

Slash's top hat or Buckethead's bucket?
Gene Simmon's tongue or Iron Maiden's album covers?
Bo Diddly's square guitar or Blue Oyster Cult's cow bell?
Angus Young's school clothes or Steve Tyler's outfits?

          Slashes top hat
Iron Maiden has nice album covers but I've never seen a tongue like that before...so I pick Gene and his enormous tongue
          square guitar
          Steve Tyler's outfits
          the stache
          Stones' dance moves
          Vedder's
