Can i plug my Dean electric guitar through a bass amp with effects?

i have a dean electric guitar and im wondering if i can plug it in a bass amp. i would be using effects tho in between. so would it damage the amp?
It shouldn't.
There are plenty of bassists who use distortion and/or very bright punchy tones, and the dynamic range from a bass neck-pickup is generally much larger than a guitar's, so bass speakers normally have to be very resilient and reproduce

Yes, you can use bass a amp for any guitar and it works fine. I play my Ibanez through a 200Watt Bass amp it sounds great,and i use distortion a lot to so there's no harm it can do.

i found a dean electric guitar for really cheap.and im a beginner and really dont care what i have.but i just want to make sure its not totally crappy.
There are Dean guitars that cost thousands, and then there are imports that are much less expensive. I'm guessing you found an import.
