Epiphone Breaking News

Picking your First Electric Guitar is an Important and Difficult ...

The Epiphone Dot (ES 335) would be a good electric guitar for those who prefer hollow body types and with the number of frets being 22 and the scale length

Buy Epiphone Dot Studio Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar

Builds on Epiphone's capacious custom of archtops such as the prominent Sheraton and Emperor. Simplified controls and minimalist styling get ready for intimate functionality and smart visual allure while mighty Old-fogeyish Alnico V Addition pickups give it fertility of gnaw. Depiction on the prototypical 335 vibe, with maple top, back, sides, and set neck, the Dot Studio guitar dishes out hot blues and in ruins when overdriven or thick jazz tones thoroughly. The adjust dimension is 24-3/4", with a nut wideness of 1-17/25"

What color should I choose for the Epiphone Dot Studio?

Here's the link:

I'm planning on buying this pack, but the only problem is, I don't know what finish I want!! I've narrowed down my choices to these colors:

1) Worn Cherry
2) Black
3) Worn Vintage Sunburst

If anyone has bought this guitar please recommend the paint that doesn't stick, peel, etc.

Thanks!

I'm partial to black guitars, so I'd probably choose that. The Worn Cherry color is also very nice looking. I'd seriously consider that as well.

You won't have a problem with the paint peeling on either, and I highly doubt they get sticky. Epiphone has been making guitars for a very long time, and know not to use soft finishes. I own a standard Dot myself (black), and it does not get sticky.

The sunburst on standard Dots is beautiful, but i don't care for the Worn Vintage Sunburst on the Dot Studio. They also currently make a Worn Brown, which I also don't care for.

Can I add a bigsby b700 to an epiphone dot studio semi-hollow body guitar?

The bigsby kit says that it is for solid body guitars. however i have seen it done on a dot studio, but i would like to know if there would be damage down the road.

Bigsby makes two different kits: One for solid bodies (fender) and one for archtops (gibson, epiphone). I looked into this earlier, seeing as I own an Epiphone Dot Studio myself, and a Bigsby would look sexy as hell on it.
