Does anyone know how to solve my Epiphone Emperor feedback problem?
I recently bough a Epiphone Emperor guitar. It's a semi hollow bodied electro-acoustic guitar. When I try play it at live volume it just feeds back and is unplayable, I think it's because of the two frequencies.
Does anybody know anything that can help this? Perhaps experienced this problem or a similar one before
Semi acoustics and jazz guitars are very susceptible to feedback due to the acoustic nature of their design. Some things to try are: readjust the eq on the amp and guitar, try standing farther away from the amp or try not standing in front of the amp when you play. I have seen some musicians stuff pieces of rubber foam into the f-holes to reduce the feedbak problem. One other thing, you didn't mention what type of amp you are using but big stacks are NOT the way to go with this type of guitar. Usually something along the lines of a Fender Twin or Roland Jazz Chorus are pretty good. If you need more volume, then mike the amp and use the PA to get you more overall volume
