What is the difference between an epiphone les Paul and a Gibson les paul?

Im thinking about buying an epiphone les Paul plaintop vintage sunburst but don't know what the difference is between that and a Gibson les Paul. Can someone tell me the difference?
Gibsons are better (I have one). Better sound and materials and wood.
Epiphones are usually made in china, while gibsons are made by hand.
