When blues musician and singer Kenny Wayne Shepherd developed a plan to preserve America’s only true indigenous musical genre with a multi-media documentary, he knew his ambitious project was as much a race against time as it was a labor of love.
In 2006, Shepherd created 10 Days Out: Blues from the Backroads , which took him to America’s heartlands to meet and jam with some of the most legendary pioneers of the blues, along with talented but lesser-known artists who had flown under the public radar for most of their careers.
Shepherd and his friends, drummer Chris Layton , bass guitarist Tommy Shannon and singer-guitarist Noah Hunt , spent 10 days visiting many of the performers in their homes, backyards and local juke joints, where they kicked around a lifetime of memories and jammed with the likes of

Im thinking about buying a stratocaster from a person i know, but im not sure if it is worth it because i cant tell for sure if it is american or mexican. it has a sticker that says made in america, but i want more proof than that. whats a good way to tell the difference?
Hi! The only reliable way is to check the serial number against those listed at http://www.fender.com/support/usa_instruments.php and http://www.fender.com/support/mexican_instruments.php . In some years of production, American Stratocasters did not have a label indicating country-of-origin, so it is always best to check numbers. Best regards, Dana
