I've been playing about a year now and I'm ready to hang up my Fender Starcaster strat starter kit and get either a Fender Stratocaster or a Epiphone Les Paul Special II. I like the sound the Gibson Les Paul makes (but its 600 dollars so I'll settle for Epiphone) and I'm used to Fender and I've heard the Stratocasters are great.
Stratocaster no doubt. I'm a strat player and most likely always will be. Of course it all REALLY depends on the music you play.
