    LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -  A Lubbock man is a finalist in the world's largest guitar competition called the King of the Blues.

    Dustin LeRoy Garrett and other store finalists will gather on June 24th at one of 25 district final competitions at Guitar Centers across the country to perform in front of a panel of judges and compete for a slot in the regional finals that take place on July 15th.     I am the original owner of a 79 Gibson es. 335. Well I have had it stored in a case for 3 years, the last time I played it it was fine. I recently got it out, pluged it in and the input jack is shorting in and out! I tried several different cords, and amps, same outcome. Does anyone know how much this is going to cost for repair? If your familiar with the 335 its like balsa wood fragile, I would never try to work on it myself.

    hi, before you take it in get some anti-static spray servisol super 10 is good and spray into jack socket on guitar and leave for 5-mins plug in jack and try it may work. sometimes you get a depsit of sorts in the electrics and using this spray could sort it out.
