It's thick and powerful, and has a bite on the high end that sets it apart from similar guitars, even the Les Paul Supreme.
Someone else I know just bought a Gibson Les Paul Classic two weeks ago, and he hasn't been able to put it down since. He claims the Gibson Les Paul Classic has clean. crisp sounds for jazz songs, but also has an amazing sharpness to it. He says he has had no problems with the guitar, and the action is perfect.
