A new to boot to my guitar kindred. The Gretsch White Penguin - sometimes called (by Gretsch in their agitprop anyway) the 'Godlike Grail' of stirring guitars. Well it is rare and appealing. I've never seen one in the corporeal before last Saturday when this dwarf loveliness was delivered. Got it from Nigel at the Guitar Workshop at Paddington in Brisbane. Expert arrange. I think it was a Gretsch White Penguin. (If I remember correctly.) However, I'm pretty sure he used synthesizers like crazy in that. =]
And he might have used a whammy, too? Not sure.
idk what guitaqr was used, but dont be fooled, most of that song was synthisizer, not guitar.
Most likely it was. Jack is traditional, so he'd use the same equipment for all sorts of his career :B
