How reputable is Carvin Guitar Corporation?
I am looking in to buying a bass amplifier from Carvin. It seems that they have very inexpensive cabs and heads that are made in America, but how reputable is the company as a whole and will these amps hold out?
Carvin gear is rock solid. I've used their amps, and played some of their guitars and basses. The equipment is top notch, and a fantastic value. The drawback, of course, is that since they are mail-order, you won't get to fiddle around with their gear in the music store. However they do offer a 10 day "hands-on" trial period, meaning that you have 10 days after you get the gear to decide whether you truly want to keep it. Personally, I've never known anyone to send a piece of Carvin gear back.

If you’ve scrolled through the menu of a digital modelling amp or processor lately, you would see the same amps namechecked again and again – Paradigm American and British combos, hot-rodded firebreathing stacks, modern leading gain ground metal heads. There’s a logically these sounds are so heralded, and it’s a testament to their uniqueness that no modeller has very got it strictly set yet. The Carvin V3 doesn’t try to be any other amp. It’s got its own point taking place, and in doing so it’s skilful to begin more tonal bases than most other effort-alone valve amps, and with a lot more authenticity than most modellers out there.
