Can I get a good Country sound from an Ibanez electric guitar?
I have an Ibanez Gio Electric guitar and I love country music. Can someone give me some tips on how to get a good country sound.?
The clear, chimy, twangy sound most of us associate with country-western guitar is produced by the bridge pickup on a Fender Telecaster- type guitar. An Ibenez Gio can certainly get close to that, probably close enough to sound just fine. If you want to go that extra distance to get that stereotypical country guitar sound, you can replace one or more of the pickups with more "Tele-ish" pickups.
