I know the J. Customs are more expensive and I believe they're only sold in Japan. They're more expensive and have a cooler design. I also know you can get Seymour-Duncan pickups on them which I don't believe is an option for a Prestige (not factory anyway).
The J-Customs are legitimate custom instruments, not production models. Only a few are produced a year and they are exclusively made for the Japanese market.
