ibanez JS100 or the ibanez S670FM??

which is a better guitar, and why?

The Joe Satriani model is a very fine guitar mind you. The tremolo is awesome and always stays in tune. If you like the Satriano sound, bear in mind that he uses very special effects pedal to get that sound.

The S670FM has a nice ZR tremolo with the ZPS Zero Point System featured which solves the problems of a traditional locking trem systems. The Zero Point System consistently returns the tremolo to the center position (zero point). This system offers ease of tuning.
What I like about this model is the fat fret which means, lots of natural sustain and a fatter sound than the Satriani model.
The pick up arrangement ( 3 pickup) is another plus over the Satriani sound.

Also, this guitar is the closest to sound and action as my Jackson. I also have a 1963 Les Paul Gibson but, the Jackson and 24 th fret job and active electronics is awesome.

Your choice... I love the S670FM but that is just me :-)

ELECTRIC GUITAR-- should I get an Ibanez JS100 or a Yamaha EG 112?

Hi! I'm quite new to guitar but I have managed to find 2 second hand guitars and they more or less cost the same... Which one do you reckon I should get? I mean obviously Ibanez is a much more hard-core brand than Yamaha but if its the better guitar then I don't mind. Answer asap please as neither are on available for very long--- thanks so much!!

A lot of it depends on the style of music you play.

Ibanez guitars are known for their fast action. A lot of shredders lean towards them.

Yamaha makes quality and great sounding acoustic guitars. I've never played one of their electrics.
