Whats the deal with neck switching on an ibanez guitar?

I own an Ibanez DT-200 Destroyer and i would like to change the neck to that of a Ibanez JEM (The Steve Vai one with the fancy fretboard pattern) is this possible?
You can't just do that.
I think that the Destroyer and JEM have different scales (distance from nut to bridge) and are not interchangeable. Even if one neck fits another, it may cause it to be impossible to tune the guitar.
Measure the distance on each guitar between the nut and center of the bridge. If they match exactly and the neck attachment is the same, then, as long as the necks are the same width, go for it.

like you know the floral looking details on the neck but in blue and half the price like 1000 or less
The Jem was introduced in 87' and the last Jem was last year for the 20th anniversary so there is no real official reason to make another one. They are still selling the Jem7v and the 77v as far as i know but a new guitar is yet to be made until Steve Vai creates a new custom guitar for a new song such as the "Bad Horsie" Jem released in 2005. So im sure Ibanez and Steve Vai will sell another Jem in the next couple years. The neck design on a Schecter C-1 Classic reminds me of the "Tree of Life" vine inlay on the newer jems. O well they should definently make a new jem but just thought id give some info on the Jem hope this helps
