I have an ibanez RG1570 and a little roland amp (like 10 watts) and my tone seems to suck! is my guitar broke?

im scared my guitar is broken cause the tone seems to suck! but maybe its just that i have a really crappy amp.

10 watts solid state amps are meant for quiet practicing at home. If you try playing through a decent tube amp, something with a 12" speaker or better, you will notice a vast improvement in tone. Don't forget though, the guitar gear only takes your tone so far... the tone is only as good as the player.
