i have a 1985 kramer baretta and i cant figure out how do get the whammy bar right?

i cant figure out how to get the whammy bar to be even....where i can bend it up and down...it will only change the pitch down.. can someone tell me how many springs to use and how to tune it to get it where i can tune it to eadgbe and still be able to pull it back and forth..

any help will be much apreciated by me and others with the same question

It is difficult to tell you how to adjust the trem without knowing exactly what you have. Your best bet (unless you have a lot of free time on your hands) would be to take it into a reputable guitar shop and have a tech set it up properly for you. If possible, you should watch him/her set it up as well. If you haven't had a guitar with a trem, you will find that most are unstable and don't stay in tune real well. I don't know what trem the 1985 Kramer had on it (possibly a Floyd Rose?). Again, spend a few bucks and have a tech set it up and make sure you pay attention. If you don't set one up correctly, you will have a heck of a time tuning your guitar and the first time you use the trem, it will wreck the tuning again. I finally gave up on trems (both Fender and Ibanez) and went back to hard tails. They never go out of tune. Good luck and take care of that guitar.

What is my Kramer guitar worth?

I am thinking of selling the electric guitar I grew up playing, but have no idea what it is worth. It is a Kramer American Baretta that I bought in '87 (I think). It has Kramer serial number E9662, is in excellent condition, and I have been the only owner. It is shark-belly gray with Floyd Rose tremolo and one slanted humbucker (I think Seymour Duncan). Any idea what it is worth? I have searched the web and have not found any for sale. Vintagekramer.com has a lot of info on it, but no resale values. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Adam
