What's a similar guitar to a Martin HD 28?

I want to get a Martin HD 28, but can't afford it. What's a martin that is very similar but cheaper? Around 2 and a half grand would be nice.
Martin dictates that their retailers comply with a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) This is the lowest price that stores can list a guitar at....however it's not the lowest price you can negotiate. Some retailers routinely sell below MAP, but you have

An HD-28 is only $100 more than your limit; it sells for $2599. If that's what you want, get it. Santa Cruz, Bourgeois, and Collings all make wonderful dreadnoughts but they're no cheaper (but better).

What's the best acoustic pickup for guitar, that doesn't require altering my Martin HD-28?

I don't want to cut a hole in the bridge, though I guess I wouldn't mind an end-pin modification. I've decided I just plain need the pickup for performaning. Please help. I love my Martin so much and I don't want to alter it.

You can use a number of pickups that just clip into the soundhole and the cord hangs out.
