Ovation acoustic guitar similar to electric?

Is the neck to an ovation acoustic guitar similar to an electric's where it is generally not as wide and easy to play? (as compared to a regular acoustic guitar like fender's)
reletivly the same :) i have both and it's basically the same. jus tthe neck of the electric mightt be a little thinner.

what would be the best acoustic guitar string for Ovation celebrity model cc48?

Today I just changed the old string of my Ovation celebrity model cc48 with D'Addario EJ18 and what happen is I found out that the string is too tight on standard tuning.
do you have any good recommendation about string of my acoustic guitar?
I've used D'Addario strings for years on my accoustics, and have had no problems.
The issue you're having is that you have too heavy a set. I normally use the 12 - 54 gauge strings (don't know the model # of them - probably EJ16)
