Is a feedback sound on my electric guitar normal?

I have an ESP DV-200 eletric guitar. I noticed when I plug it into my amplifer(Marshall MG Series 10 CD), It produces a feedback noise. I also noticed whenever I touch any of the metal parts of the guitar(knobs and input jack), it goes away. When I put my hand on the strings, it gets a little louder. My other guitar dosent do that(Ovation Preacher Delux). Is that normal or is there something wrong with it?
Just the cable alone when not pluged into the guitar produces feedback. Could that be it?
Some hum is normal - especially if you are close to the amp, but excessive hum like you describe is not.
Might want to check to make sure your pickups are properly grounded. That is usually the cause of feedback.

I'm not real savvy on laws and government type stuff, but aren't we free to have peaceful protests without getting arrested? What exactly do people get arrested for when they are protesting?
Has anyone ever asked what abortion says about us as a civilized society?
I mean if having a child is so inconvenient for one mother that she has to put it to death, well then what about harden criminals, surely they are an inconvenience to us all.
Oh that’s right, I forgot about that whole philosophical question “When does life truly being?”.
But you know, what people don’t understand is it’s not a philosophical question.
We know the biology of the organisms known as mankind.
We know life beings at conception, there’s nothing to debate about that, it is the cycle of life and not just ours, but all animal life.
Some like to argue “well it can’t feel pain, it’s not conscious”
I could go on for days arguing this point, but to put it simply would any of you feel any less alive if you couldn’t feel pain or you were unconscious, what if you were asleep? Ok j/k.
But some people do go through life and are vaguely aware of them selves believe it or not.
