Company Stops In Alexandria To Buy Gold, Silver, Antiques
Ohio Valley Gold and Silver Refinery is in Alexandria this week.
The refinery set up at the Hampton Inn and Suites, 2705 South Broadway, on Tuesday and its “precious metals reclamation drive” continues through Saturday, May 29.
The hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Area businesses and the general public have an opportunity to turn in their precious metals directly to the refinery where they will be paid on the spot.
Ohio Valley Gold and Silver Refinery expects to purchase more than $300,000 worth of antiques, collectibles, gold, silver, platinum and palladium during the five-day event.
Refineries typically do not do business with the public. Rather, they deal with precious metal accumulators like jewelry stores, pawn shops, dentist offices or industrial facilities that trade with some form of precious metal.
Gold, silver, platinum and palladium will be accepted each day of the drive.

Rickenbacker Guitars?
Apr 08, 2009 by Complex Kid | Posted in Rock and Pop
I love Rickenbacker guitars, they have such a distinctive sound. But I don't have the money to buy one at the moment. I have an acoustic electric Yamaha APX 700. I want to cover the Byrds song "Feel A Whole Lot Better", and with all of the Byrds music Roger McGuinn's Rickenbacker really carries the sound. Do you think that I could pull it off with the acoustic or do I need the Ric?
Your going to struggle to get a sound like his with what you have. So instead try to make it sound like your own.

Why are 12 string Rickenbacker electric guitars so expensive?
May 16, 2008 by Rich K | Posted in Music & Music Players
Every Time I see one of these Rickenbacker 360 guitars on eBay the prices are astronomical! I have a Danelectro 12 string, is there any way to get it to sound like a Rick?
Rickenbacker's are hand made, and are hand inspected,
it's a quality guitar and the normal sale price is $2,939.
Don't worry it's well worth the money.
