More Permanent Than Dust In The Wind -- Kansas Plays Ontario May 19

When your band is named Kansas, there's some pressure to tie things in with the state's other big pop culture phenomenon -- "The Wizard of Oz," said guitarist Rich Williams.

For the group's 35th anniversary last year, the classic-rock band adapted the film's most famous line for its title, "There's Know Place Like Home."

"Finally, it made sense," Williams said in a recent telephone interview.

Kansas, famous for songs like "Carry On Wayward Son," "Point of Know Return" and the iconic funeral ballad "Dust In the Wind," returned to its starting point in Topeka, Kan., at Washburn University, backed by the lush orchestrations of a symphony and joined by former members Steve Morse and Kerry Livgren.

Kansas has left the nest for a show in Ontario on Wednesday at Citizens Business Bank Arena. It's a stop on the United in Rock tour with Styx and Foreigner.

It's in mint condition hardly ever been played. All I can find on the internet is how much it's worth in the UK. Not very helpful! lol. Please help asap because I'm thinking about taking it down to guitar center to sell it but I would like to know if I could get more for it from a private buyer. Thx!!

Not A lot , its not a particularly desirable model, I would suggest selling it on ebay starting at a dollar or two and see where it goes

Ibanez GRX20 or Washburn Idol 14?

OK, so im buying a guitar right? and i want good playing, and i use distortion alot, and i came down to either the Ibanez GRX20 which has a whammy bar, good distortion, but the control knobs are a little high up there, the Washburn Idol 14 has the knobs right where i want them, but no whammy bar, pickups are better that GRX20 and is the same price as the GRX20. I really want the whammy bar though, but washburns are known to be bad on distortion. please help to choose. if you can also, do you think the Roland 15x amp is good, cuz im getting that too with my guitar. Im using it to play rock like ACDC, Nivana, Metallica and some others.
